The machinist finally delivered .....been waiting close to 6 months for these piers. I painted them over the weekend....now rain is arriving (tonight) and perhaps later this week I can check them out. They weigh 87 lbs each...sure glad I don't have to set these up every time I image.

These can't be seen from any road near the house......the backyard is fenced in too. I doubt I would have a problem......but to answer your question, NO approval but I haven't submitted a change form. Now they HOA recently approved outbuildings. I still have to submit a architecture change request but as long as the meet a certain size - have the same roof (shingle) as the house and siding is the same I would be ok. For now, I will just throw 360 Gizmo covers on them. They were really well keeping your kit dry.....cool in the summer ...about 15 below ambient.
In the last year I have gotten into photographing musicians - Atlanta and Charlotte. Last month I did Dylan Scott and Justin Moore (country singers) doing promo pictures for their upcoming album. March 14 I am photographing the Celtic Woman and in April...not sure the date yet, "Three Dog Night" it will pay a little more than I normally get for photoshoots and my wife suggested that I parlee some of that money into an observatory. I am 73 and I just hate spending a lot more money on this hobby as none of my kids are grands have any interest.....and for sure, I now have everything that I need. BTW, I think I said that a few years ago!
