Nice photos. I’m amazed at the bird flying shot. I have an SX 60HS, and I find it absolutely worthless for any kind of action photo.

Thanks for the compliment. I don’t know if this will be helpful or not, but when shooting action shots with the SX 60HS I only use the viewfinder and always have the camera in the continuous shooting mode. Here’s an example of an action shot with my Canon SX 10, which I just replaced. Same theories applied.

I haven’t used it in continuous mode, but I always use the viewfinder. For me, the LCD screen is useless. I have found that mine won’t focus on moving objects, no matter the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, or whatever. I’ve assigned it to only still photos. I don’t have this problem with my other cameras; perhaps it’s just me.
