I remember this well. On the same weekend a bloody dog won £100,000 in a talent competition, the winner of Britain’s Young Musician of the Year got a mere £5000. Strange old World.

What do you mean by "a bloody dog", don't you like dogs, man's best friend....and womens too........wonderful creatures and Pudsey was extra special with it, bless his little heart.......

An outpouring of support does not surprise me though. Our local garden centre ran bi-monthly collections by way of a wishing well. Every single time the local dogs home got almost twice as much money as the local children’s hospice.

So what, it's not the dogs fault, they had nothing to do with who gave what and who to. The reason I mentioned your
post was because you called them bloody dogs, which to me, was degrading them and you could have have been talking about vermin. Dogs are great little animals and they comfort and befriend millions and millions of people and do not deserve to be grouped as bloody dogs by you or anyone else. I don't want to flame war with you but I love all animals and will stick up for them anytime. I prefer dogs to people on many occasions. -----------Nuff said eh?????????

You’ll perhaps be suprised Graham that years ago I trained sheep and cattle dogs for herding purposes. I shouldn’t have used the word ‘bloody,’ it was wrong (but seeing this clip again made me quite angry), especially when in a later life I was involved with dogs catching criminals. I also appreciate and understand their training to seek out drugs, money, explosives, find people trapped in avalanches/buildings and guide blind people, etc.
Against this background and these uses I saw training of this dog to do these facile tricks for the gratification of television audiences quite negative. This is especially so when the owner received vast sums of money in comparison to a young person who had dedicated herself to the arts and received less than 5% of that amount, which was my real point.
I certainly don’t expect many people to share my views.

Then perhaps you should thinketh more what you say and sayeth not what you think...............I would personally have have chosen the little dog..............
So there we are, two far ranging, varied choices. If the young musician makes the grade like the little dog certainly did and proves them self, they will have
done well and maybe become as famous as Pudsey did, in her brief seven year lifespan.............
