Roberts on eBay,,, better Good merchandise and a very nice best offer feature which has been quite reasonable for me.

Does B&H sell used?

Yes, I have purchased used equipment from B&H. But I grew up in Indy, and Roberts is top notch. They are a great company.

The one thing that Roberts gives you that B&H doesn't is the shutter count of the used cameras it sells. With B&H you don't know the count until you receive it.

Also, they provide actual close up pictures of the actual camera so you can evaluate its condition.

That would depend on which one has what you are looking for at a price you are willing to pay for. What type of warranty if any is offered. I doubt if one is consistently better than the other. I have done business with B&H both online and at their store. I have never had a problem.

I've bought used cameras and lenses from each vendor over past 12 years. Both equally good in terms of price, return policy, selection, and integrity.

I have never dealt with Roberts but I know it is a reputable dealer.
You cannot go wrong with either one.

Both companies are great and dependable. Big difference is that Robert's is smaller and their 'owners' are more accessible. Nelson runs Used Photo Pro and was formerly with KEH. His desire to build a better model for buying and selling used equipment has resulted in a terrific buying and selling experience. You can count on their ratings and customer service. If they have what you want...buy it.

I've used B&H, Adorama, and KEH to purchase used lenses (and in KEH's instance, also a Nikon D7000 for the wife). All have been quality purchases at decent prices. I purchased a Nikkor 80-400mm zoom from KEH (the older version without the silent wave focusing motor) and it was blemish free and in great shape. I got it for less than $400 and free shipping (was a sales deal they had going at the time). This lens is NOW my favorite lens for about everything. If I don't have it on the camera then I probably have the Nikkor 24-85mm on. These two zooms give me (essentially) a full range of shots from near/wide to telephoto. The 24-85 was purchased used from B&H. I've had it for several years and it is a workhorse. It does (as does the 80-400mm) need a camera that has an internal focusing motor in order to auto focus. My Nikon D7100 and D610 (and the wife's D7000) fit that need. Her complaint about the 80-400mm lens is that it is too heaving for her to carry long distances. I use it nearly all of the time anyway.
All 3 companies (and I'm sure Roberts does to) have generous return policies on used gear, so you can get the lens, test it and verify flaws or reject the lens by sending it back for a full refund or exchange. I constantly look at Adorama, B&H and especially KEH's inventory of used deals.

YES B&H and Adorama (and especially KEH) sell used. Cameta also buys and sells used but I've never dealt with them. I would imagine that they are also pretty good.

Neither, I find I get a better product and a better price off ebay. Many, many times I get the box and all original accessories that went with it. Very rare from the other two. I always buy MINT IN THE BOX from folks who have a 100% positive rating. You have 30 days to make sure you are happy. Very good buyer protection. And you will get very good customer service with B&H but you will get a better deal from Ebay.

I bought a used Nikon D90 from B&H which I have been happy with...it looks like new and performs the same. I have no experience with Photo Pro. Good Luck...

Thanks. I like the idea of supporting smaller vendors who are building a better model.

I've bought and sold with Roberts and I really like doing business with them. I got a very fair price for my stuff and the same for buying used from them.
