I'm shopping for a used Nikon DSLR body and lenses. Does anyone have experience with both vendors and have an opinion re: which is better to do business with?

I’ve bought used from both numerous times and can’t say I have a presence.
They’ve both treated me very well each time and any issue I’ve had with a purchase was handled quickly and fairly by both.
I would deal with either again without hesitation.

I love Roberts, they're only a 45 minute drive for me and they always answer questions and help me find exactly what I need.
And sometimes talk me out of getting something I really don't need. I've gotten most all of my camera's and lenses there. Used ones just as good as new.

Roberts on eBay,,, better Good merchandise and a very nice best offer feature which has been quite reasonable for me.

Does B&H sell used?

I’ve had very satisfying interactions with B & H, but because I live in Arizona, I’ve also worked successfully and satisfyingly with Tempe Camera. Their personnel is deeply knowledgeable and their policies are customer friendly.

Roberts Camera was discussed favorably just a few days ago, perhaps you missed it.

I have purchased both cameras and lens from B&H no issues with them at all. They always send exactly what you would expect. However if you are selling they generally low ball. Can't say I ever did business with Roberts, but many of the members here have and appear to be satisfied with their business practice.

I've never used Roberts, but not too long ago I bought a used Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D lens from B&H that could have passed for new.

Have you checked Nikon directly? They're dropping prices on factory refurbed bodies.

Edit: oops, that first sentence should be preference, not presence. Dam iPad.

I have purchased several AdaptAll lenses from Used Photo Pro. Merchandise has always been better than I expected {i.e., their grading is conservative}

Also look at KEH for used equipment, I've had great dealings with them and Adrorama for used camera equipment
