Hi Everyone,

I've been a member for a couple of days and just found this spot to introduce myself.
My name is Dennis Hays. I am a 69-year-old retiree living in the San Francisco Bay area. Like many of you, I have been taking snapshots since my early childhood. In the fall of 2016, I had a photographic epiphany. I made an RV trip to 8 national parks. The camera I choose to document my trip was a Galaxy Note 4 Phone. The photos were a bitter disappointment. My promise to myself was that when I returned home I would spend the time to start learning photography and research a good camera and lens. In March of 2017, I purchased a Nikon D810 and a Tameron F2.8 24-70mm lens. The photography bug has now infected me. I love to do landscape, wildlife, flower, marine and boating and of course family photos. I am enjoying this site.
