I work in primary care for the VA. I encounter a very broad spectrum of Americans on a daily basis. Many of them are truly great Americans. But it is not unusual for me to encounter patients who are technically what would be called (as Senator Graham referred to President Trump) "batshit crazy". I see patients who are depressed and angry, some who tell me, when I ask how they are doing: "well, I haven't killed anyone yet". I recently had a patient tell me: "I was in Vietnam, I am authorized by the US government to be crazy". I have a patient with moderately severe PTSD who is a former sniper. He owns 27 weapons. I am careful not to make him mad at me......
Despite all the talk, there is NO system in place to restrict "the second amendment rights" of any of these folks from buying an AR-15 or a Glock with a 15-round magazine.
Think about that.
Pretty scary and to think you are only seeing the ones in your area.
There may be a future for some of these people as security at schools across the nation.
