My mother-in-law's orchid. R.I.P. This one is a pale lime green when the buds first open and gradually turn more yellow by the day. This first bud of the year opened yesterday and will soon be full yellow. Shot with Nikkor 105 f4 micro @2ft, bounce flash and white reflector under the pot.
Nicely composed, exposed, and focused image!
Excellent shot; thanks for the added info on how you took it. Those little details help me improve my own work.

Thanks. I do not always remember to add the info on how an image was created. Many times I have read on UHH where folks would be interested and appreciative of technique, some others say they do not want it included. So when I think of it and include it I figure those who want it can read and those who do not can skip over it. Different strokes. Since you are interested, I was having problems with a light shadow on the left petal from window light to my right when shooting it by natural light. The bounce flash and white reflector got rid of it. I don't own a ring light, which would be nice. Guess that should be on my to list, but a really good one is expensive, so not yet.
