Clouds bring out the true color of autumn leaves--softening hard shadows. What you get are beautiful photos like these--in skilled hands like yours.

Thank you very much for that kind comment Kristen.

No blue sky here.

I have been to Alaska 4 times and have seen sunny weather on 1 of them. The others, we only had sun breaks. Your photos make me want to go back for a fifth time. Nice work.

I hear you, I have been there many times without the sun shining, but no matter what, it's still the most beautiful place in my humble opinion.

Thank you very much my friend. I find that spot very scenic, I didn't know it was called Sheep Mountain, I called it Saddleback as it looks like a western saddle. Yesterday they had a posting of motorbikes on here, did you see it? I posted a picture from a negative I found at the flea market of two guys with a vintage Norton.

Hey, Mike. Yes, that scene is looking in the direction of Anchorage, and Sheep Mtn is behind you as you took that picture. There’s a lodge there that’s a great place to stop for lunch, and the the mountain behind the lodge is very colorful, especially in the sunlight, and occasionally you can see dall sheep on the slopes above. It’s protected from hunting, too. The restaurant’s signature lunch is homemade soups that are very good, along with their wonderful monster sourdough rolls and butter. For any joggers coming up here this summer, it’s a great place to stop, with lots of photo ops, as well. They open up May 16.

Oh, and no, I didn’t see the picture yesterday. Missed it.

I love what the angry skies do for the colors. They're beautifully saturated but not unnaturally so. All just stunning, Mike!

I'll take that kind of beautiful scenery, with the fresh air, under any sky any day compared to the ugliness of any city.

Thank you very much Donna, when I take pictures of flowers in my garden I prefer no sunshine, just as you say it brings out the colors.
