Nice shot. When we lived in Green Valley south of Tucson we have quail nesting in our back yard because we had a fountain. The babies need to get water ASAP after birth. The numbers quickly declined as they were picked off for a meal by road runners, hawks and coyotes.

And cats. Don't forget about the cats. That's what got a lot of the quail around here. No road runners around here and not many hawks or coyotes. But cats, that's another story.
