Laugh? Why? Isn't that the way it's done? The only thing I do different is to let the camera and lens soak in soapy water for 20-30 minutes before I rinse.

BTW, if you're doing this with a film camera, it's usually better to take the film out first.

I like another viewer's idea. He says the dishwasher is easier. -- Jackie

add some Dawn dish washing soap; it's supposed to be gentle enough for use on oily ducks.

But not on CPAP Systems. I wonder why. If the ducks, seals and penguins don't mind, why should I?

The guy did that video with a complete straight face. I wonder how many photographers have ruined their cameras after watching that one?!?!?!

Works best with a generous amount of Borax.

This old chestnut has been around for a while.
It is quite amazing the stupid things people will do to try and get a laugh.
In one word to describe his action, the word ‘moron, does spring to mind.

If someone actually has a camera for use underwater, I see no problem with giving it a good rinse in the dishwasher every so often. Gotta get rid of those brine deposits somehow, doncha? Hmmm? 😈

I'm glad this wasn't a Canon camera and lens or the Nikon people would be all over it with their usual rude comments.
Nikon and Apple people have a lot in common.

How I wish I had noticed the word parody in the title of the video before I tried it. It’s obviously a joke. He never even touches the bottle of Mr. Clean!

Note to self: never buy a used camera or lens from Matt Granger.
