Nikon 800mm 5.6 http://www.nikon.com/news/2012/0712_nikkor_01.htm

Didn't say how much it weighs or how much to pay the sherpa carrying it.

Actually they quit making that MF lens in the 90's, the new one is AF-S with VR.
But I am happy with what I have right now anyway. (But I do have a birthday coming up soon????)

I have a trailer that MT Shooter can use till he gets something permanent figured out. I can get my hands on a burro to if need be.

If you owned the MF Nikkor Super telephoto Zoom lense 1200-1700mm f/5.6~8.0s P ED IF you could stay at home while shooting across the state lines http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/zoomsMF/12001700mm.htm

Like I used to tell customers when selling a .50cal. BMG bolt-action rifle: "You can sit up on the hill and shoot into 17 ZIP Codes."

Just in time for the Olympics...but you can't have one. They will probably be a few in Beta test in London.

Thanks, but I got a refurbished Sigma AF 800mm F5.6 from the factory in Japan in April. Wonderful lense!

MT Shooter,

Copy that! I purchased a Sigma 150mm-500mm a little while ago for a wildlife shoot. The images came out okay, if you're interested i posted them on UHH with my review. It's a good value for the price. My next lens is the Nikor 200mm-400mm. Still waiting for my D800.
