I went to lunch with a party from work with Larry King, he made a comment applicable here. He said "When you get to a fork in the road - take it" never understood the joke although everyone else laughed, Must be an American thing!

He also said he was on a flight from Chicago. They got on the taxi way ready to take off and a mechanical problem forced them back to the gate. They disembarked to wait for repairs all except for a blind man with a seeing eye dog. The pilot aske him did he want to get something to eat. He said No it was too much hassle but could the pilot take his dog and get it some water. The pilot left the aircraft into the gate area with the dog. Apparently many of the passengers saw him with the seeing eye dog and refused to reboard the plane. Haha.

Yes it's an american thing. Johnny Carson originally used the comment on a skit he frequently did on his Late Show where he appeared for 30 years.
