Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge, Tennessee is the Northern most wintering grounds for the Sand Hill Cranes. Usually 20,000-25,000 spend the winter there.

I have been a bit slow processing my pictures. The vast majority were not very good but did get some decent ones. The birds were not in a cooperative mood. I tried to load a few more pictures but they are apparently to large. Recording the sounds was a good idea. I think I will go back next year at one of the peak times.
