I was wondering if I should have submitted the basketball photos I posted earlier as JPEG or enhanced RAW. You decide.

I'm going to assume that the first shot is the jpeg? It looks good.

If I'm right and the second shot is the RAW file it needs some post processing to get it looking better. For starters, it looks a little underexposed on my screen and needs to be brightened up. RAW photos always need some work to get the most out of them.

Look at JPG as a loaf of store bread, ready to eat. RAW is all the ingredients waiting to be baked to the owner's preference.

Post photos in JPG. That is a finished format. RAW is an unbaked photo with the ingredients waiting to be perfected. On its own, RAW is incomplete.

The first photo was the RAW and was enhanced very quickly with a post processing program called AVS4YOU. It is a very simple and inexpensive way to make adjustments to your shots that may need them. The second photo was a straight out of the camera JPG.

Someone in UHH Land please enlighten me. Can you post a RAW directly to UHH? Another question would be what is an "enhanced RAW" other than a RAW converted to a viewable format such as JPEG or TIFF? Thanks.

I apologize for using improper terminology for my post. I did not say that I posted a raw photo. I wrote that I "enhanced" the raw photo. I could not think of the "professional" term for what I did to the RAW photo. After post processing, the RAW file became a JPEG file..........that is what I posted first. The second, bottom, photo is the camera generated JPEG. Sorry if I upset anyone.

The attachment size limit is 20MB, effectively excluding the attachment of any RAW files from current sensors.

In that case, the RAW image you processed and exported looks better than the jpeg straight out of the camera.
