Definitely not.

It is pretty much the opposite of what I see though, nearby objects tend to be out of focus and the ones further away are in focus

Unless I put my reading glasses on and then it matches up sort of :)

For some people it seems to upset them, a photograph should match their view of the world. Myself I find it interesting to see things from a different point of view.

No camera see's what we see. Looking out the window i "see" inside and outside the room. A camera would have to choose to expose for the outside or inside. My brains making it's own HDR of the scene, i'm faster than photoshop and so are most people. At the same time its missing detail too...

I can see no way of reconciling the 2 sides A photo in sharp focus can be as appealing as a photo with a lot of pleasing bokeh (out of focus beauty). I try to be open minded about these things. There is something soothing about softer images for me, it feeds my imagination.

I think that anyone who says the background is unimportant is missing the boat...whether the background is in sharp focus or rendered as beautiful bokeh, it is certainly an integral part of the photo....and your beautiful bokeh is just that...beautiful.

Great pictures. The photographers gets to decide on composition. It’s personal. Some will like it (I do). Some just won’t get it. Please yourself. Most quality lenses with 9 blade apertures will create descent Bokeh which may be an important part of the picture.

Marvelous images - each and every one deserving of framing and hanging.
