Having read the excellent book "Secrets to stunning wildlife photography" by Steve Perry I started to look at the images a little different. He states that the image must tell a story. It's a start..

Steve, I like this set of photos for their overall IQ and believe you are on the right track. Last photo reminds me of a married couple not agreeing with each other. My $.02 which is my opinion, I would value your opinion way above any other.

My first thought about the last image was "Fine Date you turned out to be" only because I've been in that moment: but on a deeper note, I don't put enough thought into my images. I can get them in focus and have quite good blurred backgrounds but they still lack something and that to me is a story. I want to take great images not just "nice" images. Thanks for your comments Greg and your opinions are valued believe me.

Steve, one item that has stuck with me for over 50 years, telling a story is our goal if there is a story to tell. Documenting what we see through our lenses is just as important because most of our photos are not meant to tell a story but a place in time.

Greg, we can interpret what we see in different ways, in the angle of view, the direction of light, expression etc, I feel that we can manipulate the moment ( a place in time ) with imagination and creativity. The story is only limited by the boundaries of our mind. I may sound crazy but I have created erotic forms using only petals and leaves. Now, in my retirement, I don't want to be constrained by boundaries and limitations I want to soar like an eagle not fly like a sparrow.
