No, damselflies and dragonflies don't sit still very often, and when they do sit on a blade of grass to pose for you, the wind blows the blade of grass (i've found).
It's a nice shot though. I've taken dozens of dragonfly & damselfly images, but only have about 6 good photos out of all of them.

Agree 100% Victoria, actually that happens on a lot of shoots for me, hundreds of pictures sometimes only 10-15 good ones lol

love the blue color.It'd be really cool if you could actually pose it on some wonderful bright background. I'm impressed, as usual, with not only Nikonian's knowledge but his eyesight. How'd he know?
