First post found this little guy out his nest trying his best to fly. I snapped several pictures before leaving him to find his wings..

At this age they are called branchers. Ideally they move from the nest to the surrounding branchs as they learn to use their wings. If they end up on the ground, they are able to, using beak and feet, climb back up the trunk.

Nice shot. You have a good camera and a long lens. What kind of lens do you have. (I have the D7200 and the Sigma 150-600C)
The only suggestion I would have is if you wanted more of the owl to be in focus to up the aperture to perhaps f11 or higher and/or zoom out a little more if you can to try to get a little more of the owl in focus Dont get me wrong its a good shot and I like the focus on the eyes and the background. For me a little more of the bird in focus would make it pop. Nicely done though.
