I spent several years around the smokies. One of my best adventures was a mid-week trip from Pottsville, PA to The Iron Horse Lodge in Robbinsville. No paper map, no GPS and no 4-lanes. I just kept going south and west. Managed to find a road called The Rattler that was pretty amazing. I missed a photo on that trip that I should really go back for. Longest winding road view I have ever seen and I didn't pull over.

Was probably on Rt 200 south of Petersburg WV.

Yes, I am! Never been to Big Bend on my bike, but did a trip to New Mexico a few years back. Our favorite local ride is Three Twisted Sisters.

Just south of Presidio, TX, the Rio Grande to the right... no subject? Well... at the time, the pavement itself was the subject.

Looks like a nice ride.

I don't know, Jeff. In my youth, I had a Triumph TR-3 that I loved to "bomb-around" in with the top down. I think I can understand your "Long and Winding Road." Glad you had your Power Shot with you.

Yes to PowerShot. On a long travel day it's easy to keep at hand.

I'm in my 50th year of motorcycling and understand completely! Keep the rubber side down everyone.

The riderless bike photo, I loved it. I got my first laugh for the day at 6:30 AM.

Leading lines are an alternative composition anchor. Well done!

That was my impression. There are lots of sites that show examples of leading lines. You are close, but a little tweaking would have improved the visuals.

Ya. I had an AUDI TT that I was fortunate enough to blow up before I killed myself. Great on the curves.

Beautiful country, great color and excellent lead in line (road). And I don't ride a motorcycle.
