Ebay has a used Nikon d3200, shutter count 1801, for $242, including shipping costs. It includes the full kit of stuff that comes with the new camera, except of corse, no lens. Is $242 a reasonable price?
I really want to buy this, if it's a fair price.
I think it is a good price.
KEH, a reliable seller of used photo gear, has three available at prices ranging from $268 (EX condition) to $289 (LN- condition). Who is the seller offering one at $242? Are they reliable?

Check out who the seller is. And at such a low price, I wouldn't be concerned if it were gray market or not. Any future repair, would most likely be the cost of what you're paying for the camera, $242. Good luck.

AFAIK, the seller is a person, not a store. This seller is a frequent, long-time Ebay seller with a 98.9% satisfaction rate.
I have bought stuff via Ebay for a long time. In those few cases where I needed to return something damaged in shipment, or get a refund because an item got lost in transit, I always saw Ebay standing by to help, if needed. But the sellers always did the right thing.
I have never had a seller try to rip me off with an item in shabby condition, but it can happen, I'm sure. That is why Ebay has stringent rules for sellers & buyers alike. Are the rules a perfect guarantee? Nothing is perfect, as we all know, but -- in the words of Charlie Brown -- their rules are "pretty perfect".
Sadly, someone else bought this camera while I was still waffling around.

It appears your eBay experience has been different than mine lately. I’m sure you will locate a source for the camera. Best of luck!
I don't think the gray market applies with a used camera since their is no guarantees on used equipment but KEH is a good company and Ebay has a return police even if KEH doesn't also i have bought from them before with no problems and when you are looking make sure you are buying a ( used not a FOR REPAIRS OR PARTS ITEM ) I have been doing e bay for about 13 years as a seller. That's a valid point, but it could be difficult to determine.

Go back into EBay again and search. There are a bunch of d32 & 3300's on there. And some good deals, if you are willing to wait out other bidders. Good luck. Either the 32 or 3300 are great cameras.

As another poster has suggested KEH has several of these on sale. A benefit to dealing with them is that you get a 180 day warranty on most of what they sell. Their condition ratings are conservative. Anything I have purchased from them has always been in better condition than a grading would otherwise suggest, all have performed very well. Most on this site are very satisfied shoppers with KEH. A few more dollars spent may be worth the satisfaction that what you receive was tested, rated, and comes with a warranty. Good luck with your purchase.

The D3200 is not nearly the camera that the D3300 is. And $242 is likely a fair price. But for $300 you should be able to find the D3300 with the 18-55 kit lens, and it's a better camera. In fact the D3300 is the first entry level Nikon where the AA filtering is removed to take much sharper pictures than the D3200. I have the D3300 and I researched it heavily before I got it.
It truly outperforms the D3200.

98.9 is not a great feedback rate for eBay. Many have 100%. My rule of thumb is I never buy from any eBay seller who is below 99.5% positive feedback.
I have been buying and selling in eBay for nearly 20 years. Mostly photo gear. I am 100%... no bad deals. Besides. Get the D3300.
And $242 is NOT a low price, it's average to fair on this camera.
One of the benefits of buying from KEH is that they offer 6 months warranty on their used cameras.
