Took 276 to the Parkway and found a fairyland.
Sorry that I opened this just right after watching the news about the plane in Turkey running off the runway, ending up on the cliff side yards above the Black Sea. The connection was unfortunate.
Other than that, a great set of a spot visited in warmer times.
These are beautiful. I would love to have been there. I saw a similar scene at Clingmans Dome this past year in late October. It is spectacular. Thanks for sharing.

That was indeed a misfortunant coincident. I do thank you for the compliment and am glad you have been here when the parkway can be driven.

Thank you and your welcome. It's difficult for me to concentrate on settings, etc. when I get so excited about what I'm experiencing. Thank goodness for these highly intelligent cameras. Might just go back today in a calmer frame of mind.
Thank you. I appreciate your comment. I'm heading back up for more shots.
Winter wonderland!!! Beautiful set, thanks for sharing!!
Awesome shots! I'm in Maggie Valley, but it's too cold for me to venture up there! It's wonderful to be able to view it through your camera's eye, though. Thank you for sharing! Was there very much ice on 276 going up?
