Or the hypocrisy of men in 'religion'.
Throughout the bible we have women, powerful women, for good or evil.
The first hypocrisy starts with Eve. We all blame her for leading Adam into the knowledge that would ultimately get them both kicked out of even.
Now think about this... Bad Eve does something really not recommended. Adam, not seeing a reaction, decides to do the same with the result we know. We blame the wrong person. Selecting to be a follower is always a bad idea yet you will somehow do not get the blame because 'someone did it before'. Adam was an ass in the first place and his choice was wrong. He knew it yet he did it. So who is the real culprit? The one who starts it or the one who finishes it?
When you read the passage god blames Eve but the real curse is on Adam. The lack of reaction at the initial offense was a chance given to Adam to react, to make a choice. Well, he did the wrong thing and condemned himself and Eve.
I know this is 'different' but when you think about this is in par with today's life. 'Someone else did it' is the mantra used by too many folks.
As to what is going on today...
Under the wrong interpretation of the bible as men we have mistreated women through history. Jesus pointed it out at least twice. 'Those who have never sinned can cast the first stone onto the prostitute'. The second time is when jesus reminds that divorce is possible but has consequences for both the men and women. This, by the way, is also mentioned long before by Moses. Yet men keep doing whatever and are never called for it. Is that justice?
In case you have not noticed, jesus came from the womb of a woman, not from a rib or anything else. This is something we avoid to speak about as men. We prefer 'he had to to be the son of man as well as...' Wait a minute here. 'Son of man?' Are you so sure?
It is high time to give back women their rightful place: Next to men - as equal -, not five steps behind.
Think about it.
All choices are our own responsibility. We cannot blame someone else for them nor can we give away the credit.

Sadly true. As a man, I know any lack (or hesitancy) of leadership in my role as head of the home is immediately filled by my wife. The question is how to avoid that in today's liberated society? It is a weakness of the male gender. It is the original, and continuing, reason we need Jesus as our redeemer.
