Then tell me why insurance premiums have skyrocketed after the ACA mandate was activated??? Because the risk pool enrollment was increased because of the mandate and the insurance companies lost tons of profit.

That and the young and healthy weren't buying the ACA, so they paid the fine and opted out of insurance, thus causing the huge backfire of increased premiums and deductibles for those who had medical problems and needed insurance.

Insurance premiums have gone up more slowly because of ACA. I haven't checked if my premium has changed for this year as the union pays 100%. I do know that my co-pay doubled. I don't have enough information to claim it was because of Trump. It may or may not be. Premiums were increasing at an alarming rate before ACA.

My neighbor's daughter could only afford the mandate fine. She paid that and had no insurance. That's just insane. Now she can at least save up for payments for the least ridiculous premiums and deductibles that she can find. (Which probably won't cover much for her if she has a crisis.)

Your point is, and we all know it, is that insurance hikes, premiums, deductibles and everything else for those who need medical care have been duped. Trump tried three times now to try to at least temper costs. He finally decided to let it implode. It's sad that he tried so much and got voted down by a Senator who only voted "NO" because he did not like Trump.

You really shouldn't drink and post. Insurance depends on being able to accurately estimate costs. When this can't be done, insurance raise premiums to make sure they are covered. What he has done is to change the risk pool radically and that can be guaranteed to raise premiums.
I don't think I meant to imply that. I pretty much meant to yell loudly about it.

So it pisses you off that the government is no longer forcing people to purchase something that they do not want and in many cases can not afford?

Of course it does, it flies in the face of their "pro choice" platform...oh wait...nevermind. :)

Another reason the cost of insurance skyrocketed was the "forced" purchase of insurance. Once the law was enacted that mandated everyone had to purchase insurance, without suitable controls in place, insurance companies were given carte blanche to charge whatever they wanted.

Post again when you have correct facts. The tax bill benefits almost everyone. Our business tax rate was the highest in the world, thus driving businesses to relocate their HQ elsewhere and taking jobs & money with them.
As for infrastructure, look at what Obama did. Lots of money for "infrastructure" that was squandered for only a few "shovel ready jobs" and the money from the "Economic Stimulus Bill" did improve the economy. As for illegal immigrants, you are again incorrect as airplanes are the least used form of entry...

trump gave away a trillion in tax money to the rich that could have went for infrastructure and then wants another trillion from tax payers for that. Illegals crossing the border are way down and he still wants to spend billions upon billions for a useless wall since most of the illegals are coming to the US by plane and these other percentages you are talking about could disappear over night.

And exactly did Trump do to accomplish all these things you mention? Wait I know he played more rounds of golf than any president!

Just exactly how has Trump harmed America since he took office? The market is high, consumer confidence is high, unemployment is 4.1%, and black unemployment is 6.1%, lowest since 1972. Illegals crossing the border are way down, just where are the problems, other than in your mind?

There's a hardship opt out, isn't there?

I think it was a mistake. I'm not pissed off. Wasn't there a hardship opt out for the mandate? I've never had to deal with it, but I'm pretty sure there was. This way a person can just not carry insurance, because if anything happens they can always go to an emergency room, where you and I will pay the bill. I would have expected you to be against that. I think you are only opposed to the mandate, because you are hoping the ACA will fold over it.

Everything I have read says that airplanes account for at least 50% of our undocumenteds. The term "anchor baby" the Rs love so much originally was coined for Asians, not Mexicans.
