Thought I would try to shoot this Hydrangea as it looked like it had the shap of a heart, and liked the colors and the placement of the leaves.

Very pretty, I love hydrangeas. We have some in front of our house. Nice treatment.

PhotoGeezer and photophile thank you for your comments, betsout06 I used my Canon 50mm compact marco lens w/2x converter, shot at f8, 1/30sec, Iso 200, -1 bias spot metering in av mode. Camera is a Canon 50D.

Thanks for the info...macro lens is my next buy...I didn't know it was acceptable to put a converter on a macro....very good to know. I have a 1.4 converter...and now the debate between the 50mm or 100mm macro is done....get the 50mm and use the converter if necessary. Thanks!
Again...excellent capture.

betsout06 If I had the money I would have gone with the 100mm, but I use my 50mm a lot for floral and macro, and have even used it for landscape, if I was just using it for macro I think I would rather have the 100mm.
