You need to provide a lot more information, what kind of landscape shoot? What's the set-up? etc., etc. Your lenses are really limited for any kind of landscape shooting!

What camera are you using and are you planning on buying something else?

I use a wide lens for landscape photography and it looks like your 50mm is your best bet for that. Bring the zoom lens with you tho, you never know what you might see in the distance that is interesting to the eye.
Manual focus is my suggestion. Auto function limits what you can do with the light and exposure.

I would use the 50mm (you want a wide-angle lens) and take three shots at F/11 if possible. And since I have Affinity Photo, I would blend three focal lengths together. Take shots of the foreground, mid-range, and background. That way you can do focus blending and get everything in focus. If one shot looks good at say F/16, then you're done except for enhancement in Photoshop, Affinity, or some other program. If you must have everything in focus from 3 feet to infinity, use three shots at F/11 and focus blend.

Good luck.

The 50mm would probably be your best choice. I would say AF then manual fine tune.

Zoom lenses are generally heavier than prime lenses, if you are going to use a zoom, a tripod would be a good idea.

Since you have an 18-55, that would be the one to use. I usually want as wide as I can get and then crop where needed. But then, I’m not an expert, so perhaps one of the pros who do a lot of landscape could weigh in with better advice.

Use about the same as you would for a summer, autumn, or winter shoot.

Nothing personal, but this is like saying: "I am going to build a house - what kind of wood should I use and how should I build it"? You need to really study how to use your equipment and go out and get lots of experience.

My favorite focal length for landscapes is 16-35 mm. So, I would use your 50 but carry the 75-300 just in case. For most shots you will find that the auto focus works fine. Personally I like longer exposures for outdoors so I let the camera focus, then I turn the AF off for the actual shot. But I use 30 second exposures, so if your shooting from 1/30 second and up you need not turn your AF off. You should be just fine. Some folks like to use a tripod, but for quicker exposures, as long as your holding your camera properly and have set the F stop down about 3 stops from wide open (ie. if you have a 50 mm and it is say a 1.8, then three stops down would be f 5.6 or even f8 would be great) you should be fine. It that f stop it should be forgiving for any slight focusing errors in your AF system, that is if you have not experienced any AF problems up to now. Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

Either lens would be fine. I would suggest bringing only one with you for a day and forcing yourself to get good compositions with it. Then switch lenses. As for focus, auto is often faster and more accurate than human. I use a single, center focus point and BBF.

Buy another body. The Txi Canon series can be picked up for little expense and they really don't take up much room. When doing an outdoor shoot, the T3i, for example, with the 50mm is very light and that allows you to have your zoom on another camera, ready for those distant shots. I really don't like changing lenses in the field due to potential dust, but I do carry a film changing bag to change lenses if the weather requires it.
