What type things do you like to shoot? Lots of good camera choices. Nikon and Canon sre good. There are other choices as well. One important thing is how does a camera Feel in your hand. Before deciding, go to a local camera shop and FEEL the difference as well.

That was a huge deciding factor for my purchase, also the layout of the controls can make it easier if everything seems intuitive to you when holding the camera in your hands.

Thank you all for all the warm welcomes, I have truely enjoyed reading in the forum and seeing all the beautiful photography shared... Yea I still haven't decided on what camera to go with, but I will eventually I hope.It's about as hard as picking out candy in a candy store, I hope to share what little I have done once I figure everything out here. I am just a beginner only messing with it from time to time but I do love it and hope to one day really be where I want to be with it. So with this new year I am gonna stay with it and practice practice practice and learn all I can. I have seen so much amazing and beautiful talent in here...
