Looking for constructive critics that are willing to help me make my photos better give hints and such
Hi Jo! Welcome to UHH.
Very nice photos, you have a good eye. Keep on shooting!
Assuming your first photo is of white flowers, it is somewhat underexposed. When most of your picture area is white subject your camera's auto system with adjust to tone it down. To make it correct you need to add exposure compensation of +.5 or +1 (see instruction book: exposure compensation)
You can never go wrong spending a little spare time with "the book" when the opportunity comes up!
Thanks for posting your flowers!
Thanks for info! I appreciate all help!
Both of your images are close-ups, NOT macro-photographs. The subject image on a macro-photo is exactly the same size as the subject.
Ugly Hedgehog has a forum just for macro-photography, called
True Macro-Photography Forum at
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-102-1.htmlTo help you understand macro vs close-up, please read the first two threads (Intro & FAQs) in the Macro forum.
And ask your fellow macrographers any questions you like.

Hi Jo, Focus is most important, in close-up, macro, and micro photography, you must get the main subject in focus, i have enclosed a macro photo to show you what i mean.
Best regards, Alf.
