Cuomo is an idiot much as you are... There is nothing in the constitution which demands that state taxes be deductible from federal taxes, the fact that he was stupid enough to say that there has never been double taxation in the US shows that he has suffered brain death, I am quite sure that the good people of New York don't get to deduct their federal taxes from their state returns, so just what the hell is Cuomo talking about, is that not the same double taxation that the idiot is decrying in the federal code? How about cigarettes, does he not consider placing a sales tax on the full value of a pack of cigarettes double taxation because about 1/2 or more of the cost of a pack of cigarettes consists of state, federal, and local taxes.

Cuomo, just another dem for us to laugh at.

A. Cuomo actually makes his father look ethical, and that's next to impossible! The whole cigarette thing here cracks me up. That idiot jacked up the excise tax on cigs to make them the most expensive in the nation, and that's before the additional sales tax is added on top. He was expecting the state to get a large windfall in tax revenue, but it never showed up. The consumers adapted, buying in cheaper bordering states, buying from the huge black market it created downstate, and also buying on the Indian Reservations. The Indians in fact have made out huge, even to this day, since Cuomo has zero authority to collect tax in their territory. So he figured he'd fix that and tax the product going in, the Indians adapted and created their own brands, which he can't touch in their territory. The numbskull now has a "Cigarette Strike Force" that tries to regulate the black market, but that is now adapting as well. It's almost cheaper to buy weed in NYS now, and that's tax free, LOL. The clown is now trying to tax vaping liquids, since some of the lost tobacco tax revenue has been caused by people forgoing cigs and moving to vapes.

One of his new taxes, which begins coming out of everyone in NYS paycheck starting next week, is for his Paid Family Medical Leave act, which ironically, you cannot use for your own personal health issues. NYS has one of the highest outflow migration rates in the US, and many of it's businesses are beginning to follow.
