Good evening,
I’m Dev, I just got an old Nikon FG-20 for Christmas, I asked for it. Figured having a legit hobby (besides drinking wine) was a cool idea, something to dabble in. I remember back about 19 years ago, in photo tech class in high school, having a blast with this camera....... that was a long time ago & I was being taught as I went. Fast forward to now and I am clueless. I need to learn how to be relatively awesome at this. Im excited to learn & all help is greatly appreciated.

Bought and FG20 new in downtown Cincinnati, at a camera shop in 1990. Roamed around parts of Ohio taking many pics on Fuji Velveeta!!!

Hi Dev. You found the right place to be. There is a wealth of knowledge here, and the people who will give you that knowledge. All you have to do is ask the questions. And, if you don't want to get ALL kinds of answers, get to know a few people and private message them with your questions. When you post some of your images, ask for a critique...your head will swim (but in a good way) with the amount of answers you get. And remember, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

That's where I bought my first big camera. Pete's Photo, downtown Cincinnati. It was a Canon A1 which has since retired to the bottom drawer of my dresser.
