Too darn cold to play with a laptop, CCD camera, filterwheel, etc. but the sky was clear so threw the Sony A7S on the Stellarvue 60 w/ STC Astro-Multispectra filter w/flattener (I found the Flattener but haven't got the spacing right!). Celestron AVX mount, no guiding.
Preprocessed in PixInsight. Postprocessed in Franciz's HDR Projects 5 Pro, PhotoMatix Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom.
I shot two sessions on Andromeda for some High Dynamic Range processing; 97x30sec. & 27x15sec. both at ISO 3200. All the images are about a 70% crop.
The old Sony A7S definitely holds its own against the new breed of cameras!!
Enjoy!

The 3rd image is about as close to true color as it gets. At least in my sky. The HDR versions are "bright".

Nicely done.
It sure gets busy star saturation wise with a nice dark zone.
