Visiting millions of homes on Christmas Eve is no easy task. Santa often finds himself coming down the chimney and instead of finding a glass of milk or plate of cookies, he sees the family Rottweiler or Pit Bull waiting for him.

There have been a few close encounters that have not ended well, with Santa needing to stop off at the E.R. for a few stitches. This is time-consuming, not to mention painful.

To help avoid such situations, Santa sent a note to the Ministry of Mayhem asking for help. The Martian, always a problem solver, hinted that for the right price, a certain well-known Peruvian Piranha Dog could be made available to accompany him on his yearly expeditions. Peruvian Piranha Dogs, notorious for their ferocity, would avoid the need for Santa to go packing heat on his visits, and also provide better company than reindeer while riding over rooftops, not to mention being good listeners.

So don't be surprised this Christmas Eve if, along with the jingle of sleigh bells, you hear a bit of yapping while Santa stops by.

LOL I certainly wouldn't mind hearing yapping from such a cutie. Adorable portrait, and a brand new take on The Night Before Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, Randy!

Thanks, Donna. Glad you enjoyed this Christmas offering, lol. Santa must certainly have a little trouble here and there as he delivers his Christmas joy! For my part, I'd probably take a lion along for protection, but they do take up a lot of room in the sleigh...

Thanks for the kind comments, and a very Merry Christmas to you, Vic, and Bonnie from everyone here at the Ministry of Mayhem!

I hope it's not too cold Christmas Eve. I'm thinking of climbing up on the roof to greet Santa and friends.

Beautiful image Randy!

Merry Christmas to you and everyone at the Ministry.

Thanks, Bill. Glad you enjoyed this one of Chopper. Given the weather we're expecting over the next few days, good luck with the roof thing! There may be more than one reindeer requiring veterinary care for slip and fall injuries on all that ice and snow, and you may be need to render Santa some assistance getting them off the roof!

Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas from everyone here at the Ministry of Mayhem!

FOURTEEN!! Just a tiny bit past his prime!! Our "Fitzgerald" is fourteen too but still "Birdkiller" by the Great Grandchildren for his propensity to chase the birds under the feeder! So I don't think Santa need worry---he has a few more years of tenacity in him, certainly enough to cow any Rottweiler or Doberman lurking at the bottom of chimneys---Merry Christmas Randy, and Merry "Broom-rides" to the Dark Ladies. That "Portrait" dangled on a string down the chimney before descent should be sufficient to scatter any loose pit-bulls.

Treepusher: Besides your great stories I love the fear of your dog that you add. What a wild one he is. That is a loving picture of the beast that can chase away the big ones. And a Happy holidays to you too....
