I received and update to Luminar 2018 for Windows.

Now I can save to a lmnr file, I can also export to a Photoshop (PSD) file.

Why does the PSD file increase by 7.5x

Original CR2 file: 28,192 KB
LMNR file: 27,576 KB
PSD file: 211,241 KB

The only thing I did in Luminar was to change Highlights, Shadow, White and Black setting.
What is in the PSD file that is not in CR2 or LMNR files?
Thank you

Larry

Larry It's not increasing on mine, it's the same size as the original, did you hit something by mistake on export.

This was with stand-a-lone Luminar, not plug-in. I retried several times, one with sRGB and one with Adobe RGB both around 211MB. TiFF 16 Bit was 105 MB, Tiff 8 Bit 51Mb. I am now wondering if they are saving to a PSD (HDR) 32bit file.

I also use the stand-a-lone

the Image I exported is 7952 X 5304, I exported to a PSD the image size did not change, it is a 42MP exactly what my camera is, 24BIT 482 MB, I don't know what to tell you.

I'm not positive, but I would imagine that Skylum Support would be a better place to look for the answer to why their PSD file(s) is so much larger.
