Unique angle of sunshine gave this Bald Eagle portrait a dramatic look.

Hand held at 800 mm. Eagle distance was about 125-150 feet.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2x III - 1/400 - f/10 - ISO @ 800.

That is such a nice shot!

Are you sure that's not a golden eagle? maybe a juvenile bald eagle, but the ones I've seen here in Montana are black feathered with a pure white head...

Nice shot almost surreal. And that's a lot of lens. Just curious, were you on a tripod and did you use the auto focus or did you focus yourself? I am assuming yes to tripod and manual focus.

No tripod. Auto focus only. 7.5 lbs of weight for the Canon camera/lens and 2x extender. See the photo below showing mu combo. 800mm total = 400mm lens times 2x III plus the 50.6 mp camera gives me a very sharp photo.

Thank you very much, Lowrider.

Man, what an expression. No wonder they are at the top of the food chain. Great job, Regis.

Does kissing girls cause one's hands to shake?
