That B&W is simply lovely. The toning is very well done. I actually like it better than the colour version! I do so want to go there, but I sort of argue with myself when to go. I'm told that the crowds in August are horrid as well as the mosquitos. I don't do crowds well. I've thought of September.

It was crazy around here last year...lots of people even into October. You can try to come in the spring Mid to end of June...there is still snow but the GTTS road is usually open by then. A few years ago the snow banks on the road at Logan pass were over 60' high. Warm weather in the valley ...cold up over the pass.

I guess that it is going to be crowded like it was last Sept all the time now. Too many people in all the parks now.
I think that even when they raise the price like they are going to do, it won't stop the crowds. I can understand that because it is so beautiful.

September is getting pretty crowded as well. Problem with September is that if you go at the beginning, it is crowded, and if you go later in the month, you run the risk of bad weather.
Last year I went later in Sept, and I ran into bad weather and crowds.

Very nice B & W photo with its mountain textures, semi dramatic clouds and gleamer of light in the mountains.

I visited GNP back in 2013 and took a lot of photos. I tried comparing yours to mine to see if I could possibly identify where it was taken (I was equipped with a GPS tracker), but I wasn't able to make a match. Sorry. Nice picture, though.

Very nice! Is this an old film shot that has been scanned? Very good detail and the sky looks like it may have been shot through a colored filter. I'll say it's so good that I can almost smell the darkroom chemicals.

Thank you, but it is all done with computers. I used NIK which is the best for B&W. I use it as a plugin for photoshop.
