Yeah. I would hope I would be known for something more than a picture.

If not, when do you think you will? Do you know when?
For example, I read all the time here that people have all these old cameras and like to go out and shoot with them.
I don't have a use for old cameras, only the best I can afford!
I haven't taken the best shot I'm going to take yet, and I'll be damned if it's gonna happen while I'm using some crappy old camera.
When I go out to shoot, I go out to take the BEST pics I can possibly get and treat each one like it's going to be my best ever!
So to that end, I always take out the best equipment I have!!
I certainly don't set out to take crappy pics with a Canon 20D or Nikon D70, just cause it is nostalgic for me and it still works!
So when you take the best pic you will get in your lifetime, what will you prefer to shoot it with??? Or have you already taken your best pic ever?!?! LoL

Yes I have.
It was with a Brownie box camera and was the first photo I ever took. The wonder and awe of creating my own photo for the first time was the best I ever took. Yes later ones might be better technically but will never equal that first photo.

If I'm (and I'm) still alive, that is a question that I find I have really trouble with answering!

I kind of have to add to above statement. Yeah, I have trouble answering that question, although I did take a picture back in the 80's, that got me the most dough to date for a single pic ($3000.00). I was on vacation and took a picture of a beach on St. John, that ended up to be a two-page-opening-spread in the German version of National Geographic magazine. I was still working as a graphic designer in Germany at that time and a good friend of mine was working for that magazine at the time (and he was the one that made it all happen). It surely was not my best shot ever, but it was the one that made me the most money ever!

I have taken the best photo that I have taken so far. I will not say that I have taken the best of my lifetime. That will have to wait for someone else to judge after they have pried my cold, dead fingers from my camera.

If you would quit buying crappy old gear that would not be a problem.

If you want to reply to me, do it privately. The admin has me blocked me from emails because on October 20, yahoo put an email from here into the spam folder. Their answer to that is to have a tantrum and block you (when this happens) from receiving emails for 10 days; kinda like in kindergarten when you were sent to the corner). Only I am still being blocked and they will not fix it; instead they keep coming back and telling me to do stupid things that don't work or exist as they claim. Multiple emails to them has me still blocked over a month later. Is this not discrimination?

Good or bad. Pictures of family are always the best.
