Nice work on this series Linda. I like the third one best. I like the composition and the lighting on the field.

All are very nice Linda, the Birds is my fav, followed by the grain.

Thank you very kindly, Bruce. I've photographed American magpies at that spot many times (it's behind me when I photo the eagle nest), but first time I caught one of parent feeding a fledgling.

My hope for a moonset at sunrise photo op was again thwarted when the full moon disappeared behind pink clouds well above the horizon line for the second month in a row. So I used my only shot from December to create these composites.

btw, one benefit to going out for a sunrise/moonset opportunity is then you are... out at sunrise

beautiful stuff, Linda.

here's an old one of mine from the time I was the photographer for the engineers on this 7-year bridge-building project.

Thank you, Will! I resisted the urge to add some birds to this, lol. In the real scene, which was at sunrise (sun behind me), there were a few crows, but far distant.

Thank you mrbill! Yours is stunning. Did you add the pink horizontal line of clouds as well as the moon? Or...maybe it's not a composite?! LOL - brain cramp.

The first looks most natural to me. The last looks very asian themed. You could make a fun calendar with one for each month. A fun posting. Thank you!

thnx, Linda.

I lightened the cloud line, which is reflecting the light from the city, and that made it look more red-pink.

it is a composite, sort of. I 'built' the trees on the right using the trees on the left.
