Took a couple of these whilst visiting the National Trust property in Cheshire UK which is called Quarry Bank Mill. The National Trust of the UK has loving preserved this wonderful old factory where you can still see a lot of the looms in use plus a wonderful steam powered generator. Along with the mill the original owner also had installed a school house and wonderful gardens for his workers an unknown thing a few hundred years ago.
This is part of the access (long ago unused) to the boiler room
the spinning room

Nice images! I can just about imagine all those looms working at the same time--a real sweat box. Do you have more to share? They are really interesting.

Thank you for taking me up on more pictures. You did an excellent job documenting. What I see interesting about that mill is that it is very well lit. A lot of those old mills weren't and conditions were deplorable.

your lighting was great
I used to work in a similer factory, Itbrings back memories.
