Hello.

I purchased this at a rummage sale with hope of learning what it is. I've Googled it and just can't seem to find any info. I am hoping someone on here can give me insight as to what I purchased. LOL. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Bud

Yeah, well.... I don't know. That's a possibility, I suppose.

The directions should at least give some idea. Check these sites: https://www.google.com/search?q=NAP+MOUNT+ADAPTER&oq=NAP+MOUNT+ADAPTER&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i61j69i59j69i60.2577j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
You might also search anamorphic lenses.

A WAG: Something to mount a LOMO projection anamorphic attachments of 35NAP series to a Minolta camera or lens. Does either side fit a Minolta camera or lens?

Thanks. Not sure what a LOMO is. ?? Not sure about a Minolta fit either. All I've ever owned is Canon. Sorry I can't be of more help. I was just hoping that someone had familiarity with this item/part number or maybe even had one.

What you have is an adapter to convert a soviet anamorphic projection lens to a camera the bit you have holds the lens and attaches to a helicoid for focus, the backend of which might be m42 or to canon EOS or other systems most of the lenses i'm seeing are relatively long 110mm but thats good since you need some space between your camera body for the adapters. I think you would have a fixed aperture once you get it all together.

LOMO is the opposite of hifi really. But you probably would be able to take great anamorphic video with this. Although you will need to spend a couple of hundred dollars getting this lens together, for anamorphic lenses that is cheap. I've seen anamorphic lenses with fungus sell at $45,000.

The "MD" in 'V-MD' means that "one end" is for a Minolta MD mount. Cannot find what the "V" stands for though. It's the large end that takes the Minolta lenses, cant figure out what would "take" the small end of it. If the small end is threaded, measure it, as there are a few sizes (for instance 42mm is one of Pentax's mounts, while 37mm or 39mm could be from Leica).

Shucks, when I spotted the title I thought I was going get an idea of a new way to take a nap. Back to the couch.
