I have a Canon T2i and would like to upgrade to a more professional model. Would appreciate some advise.

Thanks,

Full frame or crop?
DSLR or Mirrorless?
What’s your budget?
Skill level?
What kind of lenses do you already own?
What subject matter do you typically shoot?

Answer those first.

For lens compatibility look at the Canon 80D semi pro, or the 7D MK II full pro body.
Going full frame means replacing your EFS lenses with EF models.

Define 'more professional' and for what use?

As others have suggested, the 80D is worthy of consideration and would be a significant upgrade, but what are you trying to achieve?

When you narrow your choices, here are some comparison sites. Don't aim too low, and don't rule out refurbished.

T2i is a great camera. Might consider a refurbished 70D.

I recently upgraded from a T4i to a refurbished 80D from the following Canon website. They are currently 'out of stock' unless you want one with an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM kit lens.

I started with the T2i and upgraded to a 7D when the T2i wasn't doing what I needed. Now they make the 7D Mark II which I would highly recommend.

Welcome to UHH!

It is hard to recommend anything not knowing what you find inadequate now.

I upgraded from a T2i to the 80D. I was primarily interested in the ability to autofocus down to -3eV and to have a swivel display. I found the dual pixel auto focus (DPAF) in live view a major improvement. I also love the touch screen now that I have used and can appreciate it.

The 7DII is a great camera. With this body you can use both crop and full frame lenses. Love mine with the 70-200 f2.8 lens. I shoot a lot of sports and this camera does the trick. The upgrade from a T2i will be noticeable and with good glass even more.
