I have a few Lowepro bags. Recently got the Protactic 450. Did a trip and had to change planes a few time. It always fit under the seat, tight but fit. You could prob use the 250. Great bags, Lowepro did a great job with this series. All kinds of compartments and well built. hope this helps

I just purchased and returned a Lowepro AW 200. It's a great bag but too big to sit under an airplane seat. Ant suggestions for a good bag which can handle my D7200 along with two other lenses and has some compartments for small accessories?
Many thanks.

When I fly I have two setups for under the seat. I fly with my D800, so you should have less of a space issue with your D7200. My first setup is a ThinkTank sling bag with two Adorama Slinger lens bags attached to the shoulder strap. The camera body with my f2.8 28-70mm lens, a larger lens than you probably use on your D7200, goes into the sling bag along with one SB-700 flash unit and a few accessories such as filters in a padded case, lens cleaning supplies, etc. Extra lenses go in the Slinger bags. The combination allows me to move things around under the seat so I have more room for my size 12's.

The other under the seat option I use is a large Bessler gadget bag. I don't know when the bag was made since I bought it used on E-bay. It's dimensions are 15" long x 9" wide x 9" high and fits between my feet. It has internal Velcro padded dividers and allows me to carry the D800 with the 24-70mm attached, two lenses, one SB-700, filters and other accessories. If needed, I also add a Slinger or two to the straps. It is a tighter fit than option one, but it works.

Finally, I have a Tenba rollaboard bag that fits the overhead. It allows me to carry two bodies and five lenses or four lenses and one SB-700 or more flash units and fewer lenses.

My favorite has been the Domke F2 for the past 40+ years.

Just got the Buffalo Jackson camera bag. This is an old style all leather handmade by Buffalo Jackson Trading Co. Its' a bag I've been seeking for years. Built like a strong box and will hold my Nikon 750 + 24-70mm, + 70-200mm Thing of beauty, thick saddlebag leather cured and ready to go. Not for everyone but if you're proud of the equipment you carry and you want max protection. bnc09

Truth is the only time that a bag is perfect is on the day you purchase it. I have at least 5 bags and I haven't found a perfect one yet.

I always recomend to my students and travel clubs, a diaper bag. There are lots of choices out there. Most are padded and or insolated. They have many pockets and are generally water proof or water resistant. They can be found anywhere from WalMart to A drug store. Two more big pluses, they generally cost less than $50 and No One Ever Steals a Diaper Bag.

I have found Domke bags the most useful, if not flashy. My most used is the F6. I recently got an F2 for travel which will hold my small laptop.

I have used Domke's for years. They are soft sided but wit the inserts you can usually stuff them anywhere. Many flights to Eastern and Western Europe without a problem.

If you are concerned about safety of your gear look into PacSafe's line.

Why don't you just Google it and compare specs, as they are latterly thousands of bags that fit your criteria?!

Like some others, I like the Think Tank Speed Freak for a lot of trips. Also, for auto travel and the like, a Pelican Storm case with velcro dividers is compact and indestructible.

================

I have bought many - MANY camera carrying bags over the years. The one main problem IS that no matter how LARGE the bag is, it is Not Large Enough. I find that I start to cram EVERYTHING into the larger NEW bag, pack, or other contaminant.

Know that "minimalism" works with carrying bags as well as with the composition of an image.

I do have four different carrying bags for different locations and different subject matter. The cameras are the same, the Lenses are different in each bag.

Check the Tenba line, I use a custom bag i got 35 years ago, still very good. My other bag is a Lowepro. Do your homework.

Check out Ape Cases on Amazon. Good construction and you get a great price. I have four that fit Slr to 4x4 cameras.
