Well done, Jack. Nice shots.
Cheers Earl and thank you. Just got this 300 prime lens and thought this would be the perfect subject to use it on. Need to adjust a few things but happy with the first results.

Excellent set Jack.
Cheers Jim and thank you used a 300 2.8 prime lens for these that I just got and am pleased with the first set of shots with it.
Hi Greg and thank you my friend. My buddy and i drove over 2 hours to find this place as. Yes we got lost GPS didn't help address didn't show up on it but finally got there. Only about and hour and a half drive from my house on way home. We were rewarded with seeing this magnificent owl. So glad you like the set.
Thanks Cotondog. Glad you like the set.
The photos of the owl flying are sharp and clear. That is tough to do. Great job at this capture. I'm jealous.
Great shots.
I hope to capture one that's about an hour from where I live, but it's still early in the season for that particular owl.
If I could make a suggestion, on the 2 full bird portraits of the owl sitting on the fence post, they're both slightly over exposed.
Did you bracket the shots? Set your camera for a specific exposure and take your shot, then immediately press your + button and snap a shot, then press your - button and take the shot, this will over expose, then under expose the shots from your original settings? If not, I would set your camera up to do this. Sometimes you'll want a one or two stop difference in the setting.
I can't get over their faces...they are adorable.
Nice. They are so white and bright, I'd think metering could be difficult. Did you use spot metering?

Cool shots Jack. What a score finding a Snowy!!! Gary
Snowy moments are pleasing to say the least. Your photos are additional evidence that another irruption is underway. Nice captures!
