I shot this photo of wind turbines near Apple River, Illinois, at dawn. I did some basic post-processing on it to brighten and enhance color, but wonder if I pushed it too far? Appreciate comments!

Hard to say from this thumbnail. Can you edit the post and replace with an attachment that can be downloaded and examined full-sized? (aka store original)

To my eye the blues and yellows are a bit too dark and heavy. You may be able to fix that just by lifting the Shadows or Blacks a bit, or do it in the HSL section.

Please click save original when posting for critique. The thumbnails usually have inaccurate color and detail.

You can just do a <reply> or <quote reply> to your original post and then add an attachment in that post, with store original, and we'll see that update.

Dan, I think the overall image is good. The only distracting aspect is the bright light at the right and the streak it causes. If that were cropped, it would probably make for a better photo, at least composition wise.

I thought this was about the sunrise/sunset when I looked at the image. Then I read the comment and see that its about the turbines, so the turbines need to be the major feature of the composition. Saturating the color detracts from the main subject.
