This is several nights of work - 12.5 hours of total exposure time - narrowband 60, 5 minute Ha - 45, 5 minute Sii - 45, 5 minute Oiii. I imaged with the Stellarvue 70T and ASI1600MM-C. Processed in PixInsight and PSCC.
Beautiful results Ed. I was wondering if you stay up and monitor and tweak or do you start a session and just let it run. My setup still needs to be babysat. Great job.

I like to start a imaging session with the time to the meridian (transit) in mind. I calculate how many images I can get before transit. Depending on how late that is I may stay up and flip the mount or just park the scope on transit. Tonight I am imaging the Flame Nebula - it will be crossing the meridian at 1:22 ...I need to work on pics I took at the USC vs Clemson football game so I plan on being up, I will flip the mount then and continue imaging until 5:30 am - park the scope. But if I didn't have to work on these fb pics....I might just image until time to flip and tell the mount to park rather than flip. But I rarely monitor the imaging session. When I first got started I watch ever image come in and giggled. Now I sleep....work on images or watch TV.
I have not comfortable setting up auto flip ...actually I have never tried. I need to add that to my "todo" list this year.
