I have a Nikon D3100 and would like to upgrade as I’ve had this camera for about 7 years. This is a great camera but I really want the WiFi option and I’m just ready for a new camera. I would like your opinion of this camera please. Also, Ritz Camera has it on sale now for $829 and I’m seeing it much higher at other retailers.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

Don't forget black friday specials on nikonusa.com.....they have the d7200 and two kit lens for under 1000 i think....
D7200 is a great DX camera second only to the D500 and D7500 newer DX Nikons.

The D7200 is an excellent choice highly regarded by many professionals. B&H has them on sale, free shipping and no tax if shipped out of State. Nikon USA has them refurbished on sale. Buy it now - you cannot go wrong with this body.

I upgraded to the 7200 and have enjoyed my photography even more than before. Buy from a reputable dealer.

B&H has it for $796. Best Buys wants 799. So actually Ritz price is high but not by much.

I have one for sale on this site - bought new 1.5 yes ago with approximately 9000 shutter actuations in mint condition for $625 plus shipping. Includes strap and instructions manual

You need Wi-Fi and your present camera does not have it. You certainly have a valid reason to update.
I have never used a Nikon D7200 but I know it is a great camera. Consider a used one or a refurb and Cameta is a very good, reputable dealer that will give you a one year warranty on the refurb model.
Adorama and B&H are also very good and reputable dealers.

Look at ABC for pricing, i.e. < $800 for body. I traded my d7000 for the D7200 last year and glad I did. Loaded with features and I love the dual card (not available in the D7500).

I bought my wife a D7200 and a 35 f1.8 Nikon so she could use a lighter camera for her product shots. She otherwise would shoot a D800. The camera does everything she needs and then some. I've tried it out a few times and I normally use my D810, but I sure like its light weight. It should do everything you need to do and allow you enjoy autofocus when using non af s lenses.

I buy all returns from Cameta.

I went from a D300 to the D7200. I thought about the D7500 but the lack of a grip was a deal breaker. really happy with the 7200.

Pay a little more and get a new or refurbished with warranty. I would skip your “deal”.

I have a 7200 as a back up camera and its really excellent. You can get them refurbished by Nikon (as I did) for under $650.

One of my daughters has one and loves it. I too can see some advantages over my D5100, but I'm not ready to buy anything yet. Anyway, the only problem I noticed with her photos is if she uses the lens hood with the built-in flash it puts a shadow on the lower part of the photos ... just so you know.

I couldn’t resist the deal at Best Buy, but this morning I purchased the D7200 that had its priced reduced by $200. I use full frame Nikon cameras (D700 and D810), but a GAS attack motivated me there to get this one; the D500 is just too expensive to get right now. Since I haven’t shot with it yet to give an opinion, friends that own one say it’s a exceptional camera. I’m sure you’ll be pleased and happy with the D7200.

Wonderful camera. Do check with Cameta. They give a year warranty on Nikon factory refurbs. Call and ask for Enzo. I've purchased several cameras from them. Not sure the D7200 has the built in WiFi. Just can't remember. But the Toshiba Flash Air card does a great job, if not.

Alternatively, consider purchasing a sony a6300 refurb at about the same price. It does have the built in Wifi. I love mine and gave up my Nikons for it and it's brother a6000.

If you are in the USA make sure it is a Nikon USA product as that is the only way you have a Nikon warranty. Best Buy I believe sells some grey market lenses and probably camera bodies also. Chack with "Roberts Camera" as it is a real camera store and very straight up in their dealings.
