I'm curious what bag, backpack, hard shell or soft, do you use for everyday carry from A to B? I'm looking at the Peak Design Everyday Messenger but the price is a bit steep, unless someone reading this is absolutely blown away by it. I am looking for protection, functionality, strength (well built), comfortable for the hike in/out, and a well deserved price. Again, just a daily carry. Thanks Hogs!!
I have a few bags, but the Peak Design Everyday backpack 20L is what I like the most. Yes, it's pricey, but its ability to adjust to different gear configurations, with the adjustable dividers, makes it top notch. Also there are three ways to access your gear.
I can fit my gripped Fuji XT-2, with 55-140mm (70-200mm equivalent) attached, across the bag. It would not fit a FF camera with 70-200mm, but the bigger brother, the 30L, would.
I also can carry the 100-400 across the bag, and there's plenty of room for another shorter lens, flash, spare batteries, etc.
For a messenger bag, I use the Think Tank retro 20, which will fit any full frame camera with 70-200 lens attached, plus 2-3 more lenses and flash.
I have a couple smaller Lowepro bags for when I'm traveling or want to carry less kit.
It's hard to go wrong with any of those brands, plus what others have suggested
For long days carrying the gear, I'm definitely a backpack guy.
