Today we visited the very iconic Conoco station in Shamrock, a small Route 66 town in the Texas Panhandle.

Interesting shots. When gas stations had Class ! I believe Shamrock Texas is where Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys called home !

Turkey, Texas is considered Wills hometown.
I really enjoy your photos and am envious. When I was driving through Shamrock this summer, to take some pictures of this iconic gas station along Route 66, I encountered drizzling rain and dark grey skies. Happy that you had much more luck than me.
