Taken on our last hike of the year. A few people were taking a break on the top and I saw this guy with his hand out and some bird seed. Within a few minutes, he has a visitor.

It might be a camp robber. We had these birds that used to take food from our hands at the mid-way station at Cooper Mountain.

Is that a Clark's Nutcracker. I think they are part of the Jay family as as such can be pretty sure of themselves if trained by people who feed them regularly.

This is a hiking trail. In all the years I have hiked I have never thought to carry bird seed. I guess this guy has and has had a great experience.
