This is a few years back the owner of a smoke shop that sold cigars, shavers etc. hired me to shoot a shaver. The guy was a huge Star Wars buff and when I asked him what he wanted, all he said was "think Star Wars' and laughed!
So this is what I came up with and he loved it!!! LoL

Ah yes a Phillips or a Norelco. Used to be a good electric razor. Now is is worthless!
I like the effect though. I might go into PS and get rid of the text on the back of the razor. Just a thought.
Good separation for a black on black shot, I would have liked to see a bit more definition in the shaving heads- the reflection at the bottom is a bit confusing. Sometimes on product shots like this, I would suspend the item over the set with mono-filament fishing line so that the business end of the shaver is coming toward the viewer. I mention the heads of the unit because in that particular brand the round floating heads are well associated with the product.
When using fishing line to hang products, it can easily be cloned out against a dark background. Another method of floating small products in mid air is to fashion a bracket from a length of cloths-hanger wire. I make a small wooden stand behind the seamless paper. The wire runs from the stand, through the paper, to the product. If the wire is kept directly behind the item, it won't be seen from the camera position as long as the item is large enough to obscure the wire.
A small piece of Gorilla Tape will hold just about any small product in place.
I thought it looked like a chair.
Some great tips here.
I wonder if a glass block and maybe a mirror underneath would have shown the heads, although it may introduce more problems than it solves

Yes, probably so but I wasn't trying to show the heads. To show the heads I would have just laid it down and shot at it!
Blackest, thanks for looking!!!
