I am strictly an amateur that doesn't have an opportunity to take many photos.
Most of what I take I shoot raw hdr, and presently do the post work with Photomatix Pro 4.0
I'm very happy with Photomatix, primarily use the default enhancer, and have fun it. I wondered if the Aurora HDR is worth buying just for another tool to play with?
I don't mind the cost if I find it gives me resulting photos that are appreciably different then Photomatix.

You might go to Aurora's website. I downloaded a free 30 trial there about 2 weeks ago. Maybe they are still offering it. Try it out and see if it is you like it.
